Welding machine calibration

We calibrate welding machines with a load bank, checking that the voltage and current the machine displays match its actual output. Used by more than 25 fabrication and welding clients.

Why it matters

Welding procedures set the voltage and current ranges a weld must be made within. If the machine's meters are out, welders can be working outside the procedure without knowing it. Calibration supports fabricators working to AS/NZS 1554 and ISO 3834, where welding equipment needs to be shown fit for use.

For welding procedures, inspection and certification support, see our sister business, Professional Welding Clinic.

Tell us about the machines

Send the make, model and welding process (MIG, TIG, stick and so on) for each machine, how many need checking and where they are. Include any voltage, current or report requirements from your customer.

What your report includes

Each machine gets a NATA-traceable report that identifies it by make, model and serial or equipment number, and records the voltage and current checks, the reference values and the readings, with the date of the work.

Before you book

Calibration checks the machine’s readings against its actual output. It is not a repair or a full electrical safety inspection. Ask us separately about test and tag if you need it.
